It's a old fashioned spelling bee- with a twist!

Get in early on this exciting challenge, all for a very good cause: Family Literacy initiatives at Georgina Public Libraries, and the Learning Centre for Georgina.

We invite teams of 3 adults to enter the Grate Groan-Up Spelling Bee, and compete for prizes and bragging rights as Georgina's best spellers.  Dress up in costume, enjoy a buffet dinner, bid at the silent auction, and spell the night away!

If you would like to enter a team of three ($250), dress up as your favourite literary characters, and bee in on the fun, just call Kelly Bernstein at (905) 722-5702.

If you can’t form a team, but would like to support one, you can still bee a team sponsor ($250) a cheerleader bee ($100), or beecome an event sponsor. Contact us for more details. 

Individual tickets for the audience will also be available for $30 (includes a delicious buffet dinner). Don’t miss the fun and excitement of this terrific event.

The 2008 Grate Groan-Up Spelling Bee raised over $14,000 for the Library and the Learning Centre.  Thank you for your support Georgina!
